This year at Model Society, we have just ONE New Year's resolution.
Resolutions are often about change – embracing something new or letting go of what no longer serves us. But this year, we resolve not to change. We will hold steadfast to our founding vision even as the world races forward at a blistering pace.
As AI-generated images of fake people flood culture and social media, we’re committed to preserving Model Society as a sanctuary for traditional fine art photography featuring real human beings.
While Facebook, Instagram, and nearly every other platform race to compete for our attention with an endless torrent of prompt-generated imagery, we’re doubling down on what matters most: the dignity of real-life figurative fine art.
To our models, photographers, and supporters:
We cherish your humanity and creativity. Your work inspires us to continue building Model Society as a place where these “old-fashioned" notions of art, creativity, and humanity are celebrated as precious and essential. We will relentlessly showcase your most beautiful and inspiring images of real human models.
It's certainly possible that there is no viable place for traditional figurative fine art in this emerging AI-generated world. But even so, we'll never sell out or abandon what we think matters most – our shared humanity! 👊
