Restoring Human Beauty to its Rightful Place as a Work of Art!

As we introduced you to Model Society, it felt important to share how it all began.
You might not realize that mainstream social platforms treat all nude art as obscene. So before we launched the first issue of Model Society Magazine, we had been blocked on Instagram, banned on Facebook, shut down by a fearful credit card processing company, and (without warning) kicked off a popular email platform (without our data).
You would have thought there was something dangerous about this art. Model Society was being treated like porn.
We thought we'd have to shut down. But before the dream was over, we decided to publish at least one beautiful magazine as an impeccable tribute to human beauty, creativity, and dignity.
We reached out to the world's top nude art models and photographers and shared our vision – to restore human beauty to its rightful place as a work of art. More than 100 incredible talents raised their hands to contribute. They sent us their most transcendent art in support of the Model Society vision. Everyone who participated seemed to feel like this was important.
Expecting our first issue to be our last, we poured our hearts into it. The fate of Model Society was hanging on this first magazine issue! We finally launched to our small (but incredibly passionate) community of models, photographers, and art lovers.
We held our breath!
Messages started rolling in. The positive feedback was overwhelming. I printed dozens of positive notes and put them up all over the office. The life-affirming impact of this art was loud and clear.
Now, more than 30 issues later, Model Society Magazine is widely recognized as a cornerstone of the nude art movement. In this strange and conflict-ridden culture that censors, blocks, and bans life-affirming nude art as obscene, Model Society Magazine dares to put human beauty on a pedestal as a work of art.
With every issue, we have the honor of celebrating this misunderstood creative community that offers us all such exquisite beauty.
